Works within the Roadway or Footpath

If you are intending to undertake work within the roadway (formally referred to as a Section 138 Roads Activity) you may be required to submit a Request for Consent to Carry out a Section 138 Roads Activity / Hoarding Application to Council for permission to undertake the works.

Works within the Roadway or Footpath (Section 138 Roads Activities) - Published: 24 Aug 2009

Works within the roadway or footpath (formally referred to as Section 138 Roads Activities) for which you may require Council approval, include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Road openings;
  • Underboring;
  • Works being undertaken that require a Cherry Picker or Mobile Crane to be located on footpaths/roads;
  • Restoration of disused driveways; and
  • Major stormwater connections.
