Maintenance

Council's Engineering Services Division is responsible for the construction, management and maintenance of Council's assets. Council has four Depots within the Great Lakes Council area that carry out work on Council assets. These Depots are located in Tuncurry, Stroud, Tea Gardens and Bulahdelah. Requests for maintenance are recorded in Council's Service Request System and are forwarded through to the relevant Depot for action. Council maintains approximately 630 km of sealed public roads and 420 km of unsealed public roads, but does not maintain privately owned roads. more ..

Council maintains approximately 110 bridges on local roads in the Great Lakes area. more ..
