Australia Day

On 26 January each year, Australia Day activities in Forster/Tuncurry usually commence with a Flag Raising Ceremony at Pilot Hill, Forster.  This is followed by a formal ceremony, with new Australian Citizens receiving their Citizenship Certificates, and the announcement of the Great Lakes Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year.
